M. Dara Alavi  ( AL-uh-VEE )  

is a Los Angeles based writer, director, editor, and animator who started indepently with stop-motion animator, moved into special effects, and later on to VFX and design. Alavi has served production at some of the most celebrated creative studios in the world, including Emmy-winning Legacy Effects, The Mill and Imaginary Forces. His short film Bad Tooth is currently playing in festivals around the world.
